BURTON  DIVORCE  SUIT
WAS  FILED  HERE  TODAY
----------
(From Monday’s Daily)
Cecil Burton,  for several years a prominent musician in this city and widely known throughout the community, has entered a complaint in the Shelby circuit court for a divorce from  Mrs. Marie Burton, following a separation since November 10, 1923.  Mr. Burton is represented in the action by an attorney of Newcastle, where he resided before coming to this city.
Mr. and Mrs. Burton were married July 5, 1919, and resided in this city the greater part of their married life.  Mrs. Burton was the former Miss Marie Fisher, and, according to the complaint filed by her husband, she is now at the home of her parents,  Mr. and Mrs. Adam Fisher, living northeast of here.
The complaint states that Mrs. Burton did not ever have a kind word for her husband, that she told him she did not love him.  It is also alleged that she refused to accompany him places and as a climax that she deserted him.
During the time the couple lived here, Mr. Burton was prominently connected with musical undertakings here.  He was associated in business with a local firm of music dealers and took an active part in musical affairs.  Several months ago Mr. Burton resigned his work here to join an evangelist for a tour of the country as director of the music for the meetings conducted by the evangelist.
