SURPRISE ON HER
56TH BIRTHDAY

Jolly Company Assembled At
Home of Mr. and Mrs.
George Conner, Sunday.

Mrs. Cordia Conner, wife of George Conner, was given a most delightful birthday surprise at their home in Jackson township, three miles southwest of Marietta, Sunday, when a number of her relatives and friends gathered there to honor her on her fifty-sixth anniversary. All of them brought remembrances for Mrs. Conner and baskets well-filled for the big dinner that was enjoyed at the noon hour.
In the afternoon a very enjoyable program of vocal and instrumental numbers was given by talented musicians in the jolly company.
Those present were Mrs. Curtis Conner and daughter, Miss Treca, of Bengal; Mrs Curtis Shaw and children, near Flat Rock; Mr. and Mrs. Goldie Hill and daughter, Katheryn,vnear Mt.
