VERDICT SATURDAY EVENING
----------
A verdict for the plaintiff in the sum of
$3,200 was returned by a jury in the Shelby Circuit Court Saturday evening at
four-thirty o'clock, in the complaint on account filed by Mrs. Minnie Curry, as
administratrix of the estate of David E. Curry, against her son, Ira
Curry.
The plaintiff had
demanded the payment of $6,300 in her complaint. The verdict was reported
by the jury after it had deliberated from 11:30 o'clock Saturday morning.
The parties to the suit
are residents of Moral township. Mrs. Curry alleged that her son, while
acting as manager of his father's farm, had used some of the property for
himself. The son contended that he had a contract with his father, which
provided that he should have some of the property.
