The Shelby DemocratThe Ever-Ready Club met Wednesday with Mrs. Omer Day at her home in Sugar Creek township. the day was spent in a most enjoyable way, in comfort tacking, and in a contest in which Mrs. Ola Yelton won first prize and Mrs. Mattie Tucker, second. After the business session music was furnished by Mesdames Ola Yelton, Mattie Tucker, Pearl Babb, Madge Eades and Claudia White. Members present were Mesdames Pearl Babb, Kate Tucker, Tyocia Zigler, Artie Gibson, Janie Sandefur, Claudia White, Nannie Shipp, Ola Yelton, Lettie Brant and Mattie Tucker. Guests were Mrs. Amanda Bass, of Bengal; Mrs. Madge Eades, of Franklin; John Sandefur, Charles Brant, Ora Brant, Florence Hobbs, Margaret Gibson and Carl and Georgie Zigler. The next meeting will be held with Mrs. Madge Eades, of Franklin.

The Daily Evening DemocratDrs. Day, Green, McFadden, Maddux, Clayton and Kennedy, of this city, accompanied Dr. Dunlap, of Springfield, Ohio, to Mr. Leonard Lishers, in Van Buren township yesterday, to witness the operation performed on Mrs. Lisher, from whom an ovarian tumor, weighing 38 pounds was successfully removed.
