The  Columbus Hearld  of Friday says:  “John Cline, of this city had a narrow escape from instant death at Flatrock Station, this morning, whilst at work painting  John Nading's  elevator.  He was on a scaffold, supported by ropes, some seventy feet from the ground, when in lowering the scaffold the wrong rope was loosened, and he came near being thrown off.  The party came down on the nine o'clock train, and John had scarcely got over his scare when he got home.
