PLEASANT SURPRISE
FOR MRS. FRED KOCH
----------
ENTERTAINED AT HOME OF MRS.
CONRAD NELEIGH
----------
Mrs. Katie Hinschlaeger-Koch was most agreeably surprised last evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Neleigh, 135 west Jackson street, where she and her husband, Fred Koch, reside. The surprise was planned by Mrs. Neleigh and Arthur Schultz, who is the leader of the choir of the West street M.E. church, in honor of Mrs. Koch's nineteenth birthday anniversary.
Last evening was choir practice night for the choir and instead of meeting at the church as usual, Mrs. Neleigh had them meet at her home and did not let Mrs. Koch, who is organist, know of the change. Mr. Koch was made acquainted with the plans and he took his wife up town early in the evening, later returning with her to get Mrs. Neleigh and accompany them to the church. When they arrived the other members thirty-five in number, were at the Neleigh home and to say Mrs. Koch was surprised would be stating it mildly.
The members of the choir remembered Mrs. Koch with many useful and costly presents as tokens of their high esteem.
Following the regular choir practice the evening was spent in social conversation after which a fine luncheon was served.
