AUTO DAMAGES BICYCLE

An automobile driven by John Mann, of 620 Dunn avenue, struck Lewis Sharp, about 16 years old, of 802 Indiana avenue, as young Sharp was riding a bicycle on East Franklin street, near the Kennedy park pool, yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The boy was not injured but his bicycle was damaged considerably, police reported.

SHELBYVILLE, Ind., Nov. 15. -- George Mann,
24 years old, pleaded guilty in Police Court here today to a charge of tampering
with a Pennsylvania Railroad switch signal light and was fined $50. He was
arrested yesterday morning at 1 o'clock with the light in his possession.
He told the police he and some of his chums had been in the habit of lighting
their cigarettes with the signal lights. Unless the fine is paid at once
Mann will be taken to the State Farm.

ATE ICE CREAM AND

Horace Mann, son of William Mann, who resides on Elm street, was taken very ill late last night and the services of Dr. H. E. Phares had to be called twice during the night. The young mand had been up town during the evening and had eaten some ice cream. His illness was caused by ptomaine poisoning. He was considerably improved this morning.

W. S. Mann, who lives on the Mrs. Marshal Elliott farm, reports a remarkable crop of wheat. Mr. Mann had seventy acres, which averaged twenty-five bushels to the acre, and which weighed the heaviest of any wheat ever hauled to this city, 63-1/2 pounds to the bushel. Who can beat this?
