Indiana Man Leaps To Death in Idaho
----------
Boise, Idaho--- An Idaho Penitentiary inmate climbed to the roof of the
recreation hall and leaped 35 feet to his death Sunday, prison officials
said. They identified the man as Richard McNeeley, 51, of Shelbyville, Ind.
He was serving a five-year term for grand larceny from Minidoka County. He
had been in the penitentiary since last December. Sgt Gordon Halvoron of
the penitentiary security force said during a free yard period for convicts,
McNeeley climbed a ladder to the roof of the building and leaped to the
ground as guards were rushing to the building to get him down. He died two
hours later in a Boise hospital.

Mr. McNeeley, the man who wants a divorce from his wife, is in the city to-day and is on his ear about an article which appeared in the Republican on last Tuesday. He "interviewed" the newspaper gang, and will of course sue for $10,000.
