Many of our residents are acquainted with  David Munson  who is a son of  Allen Munson,  of Marietta, and of who the Franklin Star, of Monday has this to say:  "Reports were in circulation this morning that  Mrs. Dave Munson,  wife of a local sport, residing on East King st., had made an attempt at suicide last night and came near going to that land where trouble is supposed to be unknown.  Mrs. Munson claimed that her husband had gone from home with the wife of a man now a fugitive from justice in this county, and before going had departed with the keys of her home, locking her out.  Marshal Luyster  was called into the case yesterday evening and succeeded in opening the house.  The woman afterwards made an attempt to find her husband but being unsuccessful, returned home, informing the neighbors that if they learned that something dreadful had occurred to her before morning they need not be surprised.  This morning the woman did not appear as usual and the neighbors being unable to get in the house, Marshal Luyster was again sent for and he succeeded in getting in.  Mrs. Munson was found on a bed groaning.  Dr. Jones was afterwards called in and diagnosed the case as the after effects of too much booze."  Mrs. Munson was  Miss Addie Abernathy  and formerly resided at Marietta.
