Canning Plant Burns

Shelbyville, Ind., October 31.
          The Reese Canning plant at Waldron, southeast of ere was burned last night, with damages estimated at $15,000.  Between 26,000 and 30,000 cases of canned corn and pumpkin were destroyed.  The first was attributed a defective chimney.  Fire departments from Shelbyville and St. Paul aided in fighting the fire.

John Reece  delivered a powerful sermon at the First Baptist Church last night to a large audience, taking for his text the 16th verse of the 11th chapter of Hebrews, "But now they desire a better country, wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He hath prepared for them a city."
