NOBBY  NUPTIALS.

Marriage of Mr. 'Bert E. Norvell
and Miss Carrie E. Rush.

Fairland, Ind., June 25, 1896.
          The marriage of  Miss Carrie E. Rush  and  Mr. 'Bert E. Norvell  took place Wednesday evening at the Baptist church before a large audience of relatives and friends.  The ceremony was performed by  Rev. T. A. Childs,  of Franklin.  The church was tastefully decoreated with evergreens and beautiful flowers.  The ushers were  Messrs. Frank Norvell  and  Cal. Kinsley;  bridesmaid,  Miss Minnie Fraker  and  Frank Imel  best man.  Miss Katie Teeple  presided at the organ and played the wedding march.  Following the wedding there was a reception at the parlors of the Park Hotel to which more than one hundred guests were bidden.  The happy pair start on a tour of the Sunny South and other points of interest, when they will be at home to their friends after August 1, at No. 2518 West Jefferson st., Louisville, Ky.

          Elizabeth Rush,  who was charged with assault and battery on  Albert Slinzer,  both of Sugar Creek township, was acquitted of the charge by  'Squire Higgins  Friday morning.
