STOLE LEAF FROM
SPARKS' DAY BOOK
----------
(From Friday's Daily.)
After Amos Sparks done $15 worth of work at his blacksmith shop Monday, he will receive only $2.60 for the day's labor, unless he gets his "thinking cap" on.
During one day this week, which Sparks was absent from the shop, some one came in and stole the Monday leaf out of his day book. He searched high and low for it but the leaf could not be found. Then he began to try and think who he had done work for but could only think of a few persons the total amount of the bills due from the persons being only $2.60.
Sparks has no idea who the person was that stole the record of his day's work.
