MOORE’S CROSSING
(July 20, 1900)
==========
The funeral of Mrs. May Stout was well attended, proving the love and
esteem in which she was held by the neighbors amongst whom she had only resided
three months, all of which time she was confined to her bed with that dread
disease-consumption. She was a patient sufferer. When told by a friend that
there was no hope for her, she said: "It is all right; I am ready."
She requested that her three little children might be placed in the Gordon Home.
Her remains were laid in St. George Cemetery beside those of her mother.
