The Shelbyville Republican
Tuesday, September 13, 1898
----------
Captain A. M. Weed, Republican candidate for Representative, is home from Cincinnati where he has been attending the National G. A. R. annual encampment.
The captain was an aide de camp on the staff of the commander of the Indiana-Department where he served with distinction and credit to the Indiana G. A. R.
Capt. Weed never misses a gathering of the G. A. R. if he can reach the place.
He says the encampment just closed was one of the most successful ever held and
that Cincinnati did her whole duty by the boys. He is personally acquainted with
Commander Sexton, of Chicago, having known him for a number of years.
