          William F. Catt,  90, Paris, Illinois, and formerly of Arlington and Rush County, died October 3, 2008.  Born August 1, 1918 in Rushville, he was the son of  Frank and  Hazel (Havens) Catt,  deceased.  He married  Virginia Stout  September 26, 1941, and she survives.
          Mr. Catt had been president of Midwest Truck Bodies of Paris, Illinois.  He also had been employed as a purchasing agent for General Motors in Indianapolis and Detroit, Michigan.  He was a member of the Edgar County Shrine Club, Murat Shrine, Calvin Prather Lodge No. 717 F.&A.M.; in Indianapolis, Elks and was former member of Arlington Christian Church.  He was a 1935 graduate of Arlington High School and attended Earlham College.
          Survivors in addition to his wife include daughters,  Paula (Don) Anderson  of Mahomet, Illinois, and  Marianne (Howard) Bilyew  of Oblong, Illinois; and grandchildren,  Ryan Bilyew,  Megan Bilyew,  Henny Griffith,  Jamie Fulfer  and  Erin Anderson;  and two great-grandchildren.
          There will be no public service.  Following crematino his remains will be buried in Arlington's East Hill Cemetery.  Arrangements by Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home in Paris, Illinois.

          Betty L. Catt,  73, Arlington, died Tuesday at her residence.  Born on August 29, 1923, in Rush County, she was the daughter of  Henry H. and  Nelle M. (Draper) Forbes.  On February 17, 1941, she married  Wilfred N. Catt,  who preceded her in death on January 25, 1979.
          Mrs. Catt was retired from Block's Department Store, Indianapolis, where she had worked for 23 years.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
          Survivors include a son,  Thomas Joseph Catt,  Clairmont; two daughters,  Mrs. Gerald (Sharon) Collins,  Manilla, and  Mrs. Donald (Judy) Miller,  Rushville; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, a brother and four grandchildren.
          Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville with the Rev. Doug Lee officiating.  Burial will be in the Arlington East Hill Cemetery.

Services Tuesday For Two-Year-Old
Drowning Victim, Samuel Catt

          Funeral services were held Tuesday for  Samuel David Catt,  2, son of  Mr. and Mrs. Russell F. Catt Jr.,  Rt. 1, Morristown, who drowned Saturday night in a deep portion of Big Blue River.  The little bloy wandered away from his home in Hancock County near the Shelby County line and was found by two fishermen following a three-hour search.  The boy was discovered missing around 4 p.m. and he was found about 7 p.m., a quarter-mile from the spot where he apparently went into the water.  Sheriff's officers said two fishermen who were not a part of the searching party saw the boy's body floating in the water, and they pulled him from the water.
          Services were held at the Pasco Memorial Funeral Home in Greenfield, and graveside rites were held Tuesday.  Surviving besides the parents are three brothers,  Gregory,  Michael and  David Catt,  all at home.

RITES  SET  FOR  FORMER
COUNTY  RESIDENT,  85

          Joseph Catt,  95, R. R. 4, Greenfield, a former resident of Shelby County, died Wednesday in Hancock County Memorial Hospital.  He was a member of the Fountaintown Christian Church.
          Services will be held at the Pasco Memorial Mortuary in Greenfield at 10:00 a.m. Saturday and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Anderson.  Friends may call at the mortuary at any time.
          Surviving are five sons,  Edward,  Marion and  Max Catt,  all of Greenfield, and  Charles and  Tolbert Catt  of Anderson; two daughters,  Mrs. Doris Boyd  of Anderson and  Mrs. Mary Vingis  of Greenfield, two half-sisters, two half-brothers, 15 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

Funeral To Be Wednesday
For Rush County Man

          Funeral services have been arranged for  Franklin L. Catt,  former Rush county surveyor, age sixty-four, who died at his home west of Arlington in Rush county Monday morning.  The rites will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the L. V. Hauk funeral home and burial will be made in the Arlington cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home.
          Although Mr. Catt, who was a civil engineer by occupation, had been in failing health, his death which was followed by a stroke suffered at 9:30 Sunday night, was unexpected.  He was a member of the Friends Church at Carthage and of the Carthage Masonic lodge.
          He is survived by the widow,  Hazel Catt;  one son,  William Catt,  of Indianapolis; two brothers,  Dr. Fred Catt,  of near Arlington, and  Walter Catt,  of Anderson, and one sister,  Mrs. Florence Beaver,  also of Anderson.

DEATH  CLAIMS
ARLINGTON  MAN

          Leroy Catt,  age forty, who resided near Arlington, died at the Robert Long hospital in Indianapolis Saturday after a long illness.  Death was due to a complicaiton of diseases.  He had been confined to the hospital for the past three weeks.
          Mr. Catt was the son of  Dr. and Mrs. Fred Catt,  of Arlington.  Surviving with the parents are his wife and one son.
          Funeral services will be held at the late home today at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Buck, assisted by Rev. Emerson Koltenbah, officiating.  Burial will be made in the Arlington cemetery in charge of L. V. Hauk

Phyllis Outland Died at Home in
Dayton, Ohio.

          Phyllis Outland,  5 years old, daughter of  Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Outland,  died Friday at their home in Dayton, O., after a brief illness due to intestinal obstruction.
          The body was brought today to the home of  Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Catt,  of near Arlington and funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Gwynneville U.B. church with the Rev. Joseph Young, officiating.  Burial will be in the Hanover cemetery, with Carmony Bros., funeral directors in charge.
