Married Beth McCracken November 10, 1947; she survives.
Also surviving: children, Doug Ash, Dallas, Texas, Kim Ash, Anderson, Cathy Ash, Columbus; brother, Gary Ash, Burbank, California; five grandchildren.
WWII veteran.
Lived in Shelbyville entire life.
Member of Eagles Lodge and Elks Lodge.
Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Shelbyville.

------------Mrs. Isabel Ash, aged eighty-six years, died May 4th, 1885, at her home in Custer county, Nebraska, and was buried on the 5th. Deceased was the mother of James W. and Eli Ash, of Hanover township, and Conrad J. Ash, of Union township, this county. Mrs. Ash was a pensioner of the war of 1812. Her husband died in 1848. Deceased was the mother of fourteen children, nine sons and five daughters, eleven of whom are now living. She resided in Hanover township, this county from 1834 to 1884, when she removed to Nebraska, where she resided with her daughter, Mrs. Adeline Crawford.
