          Alice (Tuley) Blocher,  82, Shelbyville, died Tuesday at Regency Place, Greenfield.  Born Sept. 7, 1917, in Rush County, she was the daughter of  Henry and  Jennie (Fishback) Tuley.  She married  Vernon V. Blocher  on April 24, 1937, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 24, 1993.  Mrs. Blocher lived most of her life in Shelbyville and owned and operated the Beauty Studio in her home for 30 years before retiring in 1980.  She was a member of Decorative Artists Club.
          Survivors include two sisters,  Eva Greenfield,  Shelbyville, and  Katherine Riley,  Louisville, Ky. and four brothers,  Charles Tuley , Robert Tuley,  and  John Tuley,  all of Shelbyville, and  Billy Tuley,  Morgantown.  She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
          Graveside services will be at 1p.m. Friday at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Shelby County. Family and friends are invited to meet at noon Friday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and go to the service together.

          Vernon V. Blocher,  77, 75 McKinley St., died at 4:12 a.m. today at Major Hospital.  Mr. Blocher was born Dec. 29, 1915, in Decatur County to  John and  Melvina (Dickson) Blocher.  He married  Alice Tuley  on April 24, 1937.  His wife survives.
          Mr. Blocher was a machinist at Chrysler Corp. in Indianapolis before his retirement in 1978 after 25 years of service.  He was a member of the Marietta United Methodist Church and was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.  Mr. Blocher was an Army veteran of World War II and was a Purple Heart recipient.
          Surviving in addition to his wife is a brother,  Arthur Blocher,  Marietta.  He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.  Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Norristown, with the Rev. Elma Certain officiating.  There will be no visitation. Members of local veterans organizations will perform military rites and will serve as pallbearers.
