SAMUEL  BOOHER  DIED  TUESDAY
Marion Township Farmer Passed Away At St. Vincent Hospital
UREMIC  POISONING  IS  CAUSE

          Samuel Booher, a prominent farmer of Marion township, died Tuesday afternoon at three o’clock at the St. Vincent hospital after a short illness cause from uremic poisoning.  Mr. Booher was taken to the hospital for treatment two weeks ago yesterday.  The deceased was born January 11, 1858, and was 66 years, one month and seven days of age.
          Mr. Booher is survived by two sons and two daughters.  They are Loren, of Louisville, Kentucky; Omer, of Richmond, Indiana;  Miss Audrey Booher, of Shelbyville, and  Miss Etoile  at home.  Also two step-children, Mrs. Harry [Dema J.] Talbert, of this city and  Mrs. Bert [Florence B.] Hauk, of Marion township; three brothers, Henry  and  James Booher, of Marion township and  Charles  of Shelbyville, besides one sister, Mrs. Grant Wicker, of Morristown.
          Announcement of the funeral will be made Thursday by Morris H. Sleeth in charge.

BOOHER  FUNERAL

          Funeral services for Samuel Booher, who died at an Indianapolis hospital Tuesday afternoon, will be held Friday afternoon at the Blue River Chapel at two-thirty o’clock, the Rev. James L. Brown officiating.  Interment will be made in the Marion cemetery, M. H. Sleeth in charge.  The Loyal Order of Moose will take part in the services.

          Suffering from a third stroke of paralysis  Mrs. Elizabeth Booher, wife of  Samuel Booher  of east Marion township, died Sunday night.  Her age was 51 years.  Mrs. Booher was reared in [Taylor County] Kentucky, coming to Shelby county 20 years ago.  All her relatives reside in Kentucky.  She was the mother of 4 children they being  Mrs. Harry [Dema J.] Talbert,  Mrs. Bert [Florence B.] Hawk,  Miss Audry Booher  and son  Omer Booher.  Mrs. Booher was one of the best known women in the vicinity where she lived.  She held membership in the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian church at Kentucky.
          The funeral will be held at 2 o’clock on Wednesday afternoon in the Little Blue River Baptist church, the Rev. James L. Brown officiating.  Interment will be made in the Bennett cemetery in charge of Ralph J. Edwards.

Former Shelby County Citizen
Dies At His Home, Elizabeth, Colorado
----------
          Dr. Daniel Booher, aged forty years, three months and twenty-six days, died at his residence in Elizabeth, Colorado, Tuesday, December 19, 1905.  He had been in failing health for the past several months.  Mr. Booher was born in Marion township, this county, his parents being Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Booher, who are both deceased.  Besides the widow, he leaves surviving five brothers and one sister, all of whom reside in this county.  Dr. Booher entered the medical profession about sixteen years ago, opening an office at Marion, where he continued the practice of medicine until about four or five years ago, when on account of throat trouble, he removed to Elizabeth, Colorado, where he has since resided.  The Doctor has been a member of the K. of P. lodge in this city for about fifteen years and also of the Uniform Rank, K. of P.  He was elected coroner of Shelby county for two terms, 1896 to 1900.  He was a good citizen and enjoyed an extensive acquaintance in Shelby county and his many friends will regret to learn of his death.  The bereaved widow will start to this city with the remains for interment tomorrow.  Funeral will be in charge of the K. of P.'s. The remains are expected to arrive here on Saturday and will be taken to the residence of George Peters, father of the bereaved widow.  The time and place of the funeral will be given later.  D. B. Wilson and Son in charge.
