MARY FRANCES BORNHORST
----------
Mary Frances (Hendrickson) Bornhorst, 82, died Monday at Heritage House Convalescent Center. She was a lifelong resident of Shelbyville.
Mrs. Bornhorst was born Dec. 29, 1912, the daughter of Sanders and Hattie (Rehme) Hendrickson. On Oct. 27, 1936, she married Lawrence A. Bornhorst, who preceded her death on July 11, 1984.
She was a clerical worker in the Shelby County Courthosue and then in the Indiana Statehouse. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she belonged to St. Anne's Altar Society and St. Joe Social Club.
Survivors include two sons, John L. Bornhorst, Columbus, and Thomas J. Bornhorst, Bakersfield, Calif.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Carmony-Ewing Broadway Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church or to the Hospice of Shelby County.

Leone R. Bornhorst, 90, Shelbyville, died Friday, Heritage House Convalescent Center. Born in Shelbyville on Aug. 7, 1901, d/o Elisha and Rose (Hirshaurer) Amos.
Aug. 5, 1929, Niagara Falls, NY, married Al Bornhorst, who died July 4, 1972.
Lifelong Shelbyville resident.
Worked Mary Lou Shoppe.
Member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors: sister, Lorene McCarty, Indianapolis, and by nieces and nephews.

Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery.

LAWRENCE (BARNEY) BORNHORST

Lawrence (Barney) Bornhorst, R.R. 4, Shelbyville, died at 8 p.m. Wednesday [July 11, 1984] at Major Hospital.
Mr. Bornhorst, a lifelong Shelbyville resident, had owned and operated the Blue River Lanes before his retirement in 1971. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph Social Club.
A son of Francis and Josephine (Nienabor) Bornhorst, he was born in Shelbyville Aug. 7, 1913. He was married Oct. 27, 1936, to Mary F. Hendrickson, who survives.
Also surviving are sons, John L. Bornhorst, Columbus, and Thomas J. Bornhorst, Sunnyvale, Calif.; four grandchidlren; and a brother, Francis B. Bornhorst Jr. Three sisters and two brothers preceded in death.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. William Ernst officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Carmony Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Sociaty or the American Lung Association of Central Indiana.

Aloysius "Al" Bornhorst, 70, 1650 S. Riley Highway, died Tuesday in Major
Hospital.
Services Thursday, St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Edward McLaughlin will officiate.
Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery.
Murphy Mortuary
In poor health two years and in serious condition seven weeks.
Resident of this community for 68 years.
Employed at the Shelbyville
Desk Co., for 40 years.
Served for two years as
bailiff of Shelby County Superior Court.
Member of St. Joseph Church
and its Holy Name Society and the U.I.U.
Born in Batesville, Nov. 4, 1901, s/o Francis and Josephine (Nienaber)
Bornhorst.
Aug. 5, 1928, married Leona Amos.
Survivors: wife; 3 brothers, Lawrence
Bornhorst, R. R. 5, Shelbyville, Francis Bornhorst Jr., R. R. 2, Shelbyville,
and Carl Bornhorst, Indianapolis, and one sister, Mrs. Hildred Balich,
Bargersville.
