Florence Brannon

Florence Brannon, 82, of Indianapolis, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, Indianapolis.
Born June 13, 1919, in Rushville, she was the daughter of  Grant  and  Martha (Powell) Lacy.  Married  Joseph O. Brannon  in 1948; he preceded her in death in 1985.
Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn Willoughby of Indianapolis. Preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Brannon lived most of her life in Rushville; during the early 1990s, in Shelby County; moved to Indianapolis 7 years ago.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Rushville.
During the 1950s and 1960s, employed at Rush Memorial Hospital.
Burial will be in East Hill Cemetery in Rushville.

          Word was received here Saturday of the death at Terre Haute of  Jefferson M. Branan.  He was a brother of  Hugh Branan, of Hendricks township, and a cousin of  Mr. J.P. Cochran of this city.  The deceased was an engineer on the Vandalia railroad and was one of the oldest employees of that road having gone into the employ of the road in 1870.  His death was caused from dropsy.  He leaves a wife and no children.
