Mrs. Mary Ann Champ, Age 82 Years,
Succumbs At Home In St. Omer

FUNERAL TO BE SATURDAY

Mrs. Mary Ann Champ, well-known resident of Decatur county, died today at 11:15 o'clock at her home in St. Omer after a long illness due to her advanced
age. Mrs. Champ was born in Decatur county, December 23, 1847, being 82 years of age. She was the daughter of Bartley and Amanda Townsend. All of her life had been spent in Decatur county and for the past 35 years she had resided in St. Omer. In 1871 she was rnarried to Thomas J. Champ, whose death occurred in 1916. Three sons, thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren survive. The sons are Warder Champ at home; Williard Champ , of Indianapolis; and Caleb Champ, of Connersville. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at ten o'clock at the United Brethern church in St. Omer. Mrs. Champ was a devoted member of this church. Interment will be in the St. Omer cemetery in charge of C. F. Fix and Son.
