          Mrs. Joseph McBride is in receipt of word from Mapleton, Ia., stating that her uncle, Allen Clinginpeele, had died there Monday, aged about seventy years.  Deceased was a splendid man, and by thrift and practice of economy he accumulated a snug fortune, and leaves a widow and several children.  He formerly resided in Decatur county, but had been a resident of Iowa many years.
