Virginia B. Colclazier, aged 78, a long time resident of Greenfield, Indiana
died at her home on November 19, 2000. She was born January 31, 1922 in
Greenfield, Indiana, the child of Ralph Boots and Ruth (Gorman) Boots neither of
whom survive.
She had been a school bus driver for Greenfield Central
School from 1976-1993 when she retired. Prior to driving a bus for the
school she had been a manager of the Allstate Insurance Company in Indianapolis
cafeteria.
She was a member of the lst Church of God of Greenfield and a former Trustee, Secretary and Treasurer of that Church. Ms. Colclazier volunteered for many years for "Clothe a Child" in Indianapolis.
She was married when 16 years old.
She is survived by her husband Robert Colclazier to whom she was married June 14, 1937; her son Jeff Colclazier
of Greenfield; daughters Barbara Barnes of Key and Ginger McKee
of Greenfield; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by granddaughter Amy McKee-Everett; sister Alice Jean Keltsch; brothers George and Gorman Boots; and son David Colclazier.
Her funeral will be
held Wednesday November 22, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pasco Memorial Mortuary.
Calling will be held 4-9 Tuesday November 21, 2000 at Pascos with burial at Park
Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart
Association.

MR. COLCLAZIER
DIES AT HOME

Estell Colclazier, 73, died at 1:00 a.m. today at this home in Greenfield. He had been ill for several months. Mr. Colclazier was born in Shelby County, a son of Hiram and Angeline (Hill) Colclazier. His wife, Inez, survives with three children, Mrs. Ruth Neal, of Columbus R.R. 7, Mrs. Dale Ferris of North Vernon R.R. 5, and Mrs. Sarah Hogue of Florida.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Edgar Ridlen of Fountaintown R.R. 1, Mrs. Russell Cushman, of Fortville R.R. 1; two brothers, Roy of Greenfield R.R. 4, and Jacob Colclazier of Greenfield R.R. 1. There are four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Pasco Memorial Mortuary at Greenfield. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery in Shelby County. Friends may call at the mortuary after 7:00 p.m. today.

SISTER OF MORRISTOWN WOMAN
PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Angeline Colclazier of Greenfield, twin sister of Mrs. Adeline
Heck of Morristown, died Friday at her home following a year’s illness.
She was born in Shelby county and was at the time of death 75 years old.
Survivors besides the sister are the husband, Hiram Colclazier; six
children, Albert, Roy and Jacob Colclazier, Mrs. Edgar Ridlin
and Mrs.
W. S. Calhoun, all of Greenfield and two great grandchildren. Funeral
services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the late home. The Rev. John C.
Clawson will officiate and burial will be in the Liberty cemetery north of this
city.

Elderly Lady Who Lived with Her
Son in This City

Mrs. Elizabeth Colclazier died yesterday evening at the home of her son, Moses Williams, on West Main street in this city. She is survived by four children.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at the residence by the Rev. H. S. Nickerson and interment in Park cemetery in charge of F. R. Lynam. Mrs. Colclazier was a widow 76 years old.

Mrs. Elizabeth (Stewart)
Colclazier, aged 77 years, mother of Mrs. J. J. [ Nora] Riser, of west Franklin street, and a former resident of Shelbyville, died Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the home of her son,
Moses Williams, in Greenfield, Indiana, where she had been ill since the holidays with a complication of diseases.
She was a native of Shelby county and well known in the community.
Until last spring, Mrs. Colclazier resided here at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Riser.
Her health had been very good until Christmas when she became ill while on a visit with her sister.
She was born and reared in Shelby county and her death causes sadness to the many people with whom she had always been associated, for she was a woman of excellent qualities and character.
Surviving her are the daughters, Mrs. Riser, and
Mrs. [Alice] Frank Means, of this county, and one residing in California [Stella], and three sons, Moses Williams, at whose home she died;
[William] Amos Williams, of Missouri, and Samuel Williams, of Texas. There is also one sister,
Mrs. Anna Jonas, of Fairland, and her brother, John Stewart, of near Fairland.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o’clock in Greenfield and the burial will be made in the cemetery there.

George W. Colclazier, of VanBuren Township,
Dies Suddenly
----------
Yesterday while George W. Colclazier, a well-known resident of VanBuren township, was engaged in carrying on a public sale, he dropped dead.
He was nearly 70 years old, and was a veteran of the civil war in General Benjamin Harrison’s regiment.
He leaves a family, and held the office of Constable of VanBuren township at the time of his death.

George W. Colclazier, of VanBuren township, dropped dead Monday while looking after a public sale on his farm.
Mr. Colclazier was well known in his neighborhood and was considered a good citizen.
Heart disease was the cause.
