          Richard A. 'Rick' Comer,  44, of Charleroi, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, in Mon Valley Hospital.  Born Feb. 8, 1964, in Leavenworth, Kan., he was the son of  Robert B. Comer  and wife  Rose,  of Pymatuning, and  Charlotte Rodriguez,  of Donora.  Rick was employed as a truck driver for Southern Pines Trucking Co. in Monaca.  He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping.  Rick was a member of the Slovak Club and the former Russian Club, both in Monongahela.
          He is survived by his fiancee,  Jean Botsko,  of Charleroi; a son and daughter,  Jacob M. Comer  and  Lisa M. Comer,  both at home; a brother,  Robert J. Comer  and wife  Bellanira,  of San Antonio, Texas; a niece,  Brittany Comer;  three step brothers,  Brian Smith,  of Arizona,  John Harapko,  of Charleroi, and  Brice Smith,  of Donora; three step sisters,  Darla Seighman,  of Rostraver Township,  Cathy Smith,  of Donora, and  Kim Shipley,  of Charleroi; and his good friend,  Mitch Randell,  of Charleroi.
          Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 24, at 11 a.m. in the MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, Monongahela (724-258-6767), with Pastor John Custer officiating.  Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township.
