Services for Freda C. Corbin, 90, formerly of 46 W. Franklin St., will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ewing Mortuary with the Rev. Gary Huffman officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today.
Mrs. Corbin died at 11:56 p.m. Thursday at W.S. Major Hospital, where she had been a patient 10 days. She had been in failing health for the past two years. A native of Shelbyville, Mrs. Corbin had lived here since 1952, coming here from Indianapolis where she had lived most of her married life. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Emma Reiman class and the Night Circle of the church's women's association. She also was a 50-year member of Naaman Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.
Born in Shelbyville May 15, 1892, she was the daughter of George H. and Matilda L. (Dickman) Schoelch. She was married May 16, 1936, in Shelbyville to Clair J. Corbin, who died March 7, 1965. She is survived by several cousins. A brother and a sister preceded her in death. Memorial contributions may be made to the Frist Presbyterian Church or a favorite charity.
