Marvin Eugene Covalt, 81, of Morristown, IN, passed away July 9, 2004 at Major
Hospital, Shelbyville. He was born October 5, 1922 in Shelby Co., IN to the late
Cecil and Ethel (Ball) Covalt. Marvin graduated from Morristown High School in
1940 and from Purdue Ag School in 1947. He was a WWII Army Staff Sgt. with 13th
Replacement Depot. Mr. Covalt was a life long farmer in Shelby County.
He was a
member of the Gwynneville Christian Church and the Morristown American Legion.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at Gwynneville Christian
Church, with calling from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. Calling
also from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 12, in Frazier Funeral Home, Morristown.
Mr.
Covalt was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Doris Kelso.
Surviving
are his wife, Rita (Schutt) Covalt, whom he married on May 27, 1949, of
Morristown; daughters, Christina (Ken) Wilson of Morristown, and
Jane Ann (Jeff)
Rodenhuis of Needham; grandchildren: Wendi Wilson, Barnesville, MN,
Erin (John) Shuttleworth, Huntington, Kellie Wilson, Greenfield,
Katie Wilson, Morristown,
Eric Rodenhuis, and Jill Rodenhuis, Needham and three great grandchildren.
