          Mrs. Catherine Criss died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Tobias Worland, in Shelby township, at ten o'clock p.m., Thursday, August 24, age seventy-two years and eleven months.  She was born in Middletown, Ohio.  She was married to  Abraham Criss  [October 26] 1842.  She united with the Lutheran church when a child and afterward united with the United Brethern church at St. Omer, Indiana, of which church she was a member until her death.  Her husband died in 1880.  She leaves four daughters, one son, four brothers and one sister.  Funeral services will be held in the German Chapel in Decatur county at eleven o'clock a.m., Saturday, August 26.  The cortege will leave the house at nine o'clock in charge of Edwards & Hageman.
