          Mrs. Maude Herron Curtis,  84, of 319 E. Pennsylvania St., a First Church of Christ Scientist here, died at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday at a Shelbyville rest home.  She had been ill for the past year.
          Rev. A. M. Hamilton Will officiate at services Saturday at 2 p.m. at Murphy Mortuary.  Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery.  Friends will be received at the mortuary after 2:00 p.m. Friday.
          Mrs. Curtis was born in Shelby County on Sept. 8, 1878, the daughter of  William and  Charlotte (Koffman) Williams.  She was first married to  Ora Herron  and he preceded in death.  Later she married  James Curtis  who died Aug. 6, 1956.
          Surviving are a grandson,  Patrick D. Herron  of Arizona; two brothers,  Gerard Williams  of Shelbyville and  Dolphus S. Williams  of Vallonia and a sister, Daisy Bunn  of Illinois.
