Mrs. Ruth Dawson, 75, 1546 S. Riley Highway, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday at the Heritage House Convalescent Center. She had been in ill health six months. Mrs. Dawson taught school for 45 years, the last 38 of which she was a teacher at Addison School. She retired in 1969. She also served as organist for several city churches. For 15 years she was the organist for the Naamah Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. Her memberships included the Naaman Chapter, West Street United Methodist Church, and the Indiana State Teachers Association.
Born Feb. 4, 1904 in Noble Township, a daughter of Walter and Alta (Shirley) Goodwin she was married April 27, 1929 in Waldron to Bernard J. Dawson, who survives. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Holland (Nellie) Monroe, San Diego, Calif, and Mrs. Bernard (Helen) Morris, Martinsville. A brother preceded in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Ewing Mortuary with the Rev. Scott Wood officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, near Norristown. Friends many call at the mortuary.

THERON P. DAWSON
DIES IN INDIANAPOLIS

Theron P. Dawson 1449 S. Biltmore St., Indianapolis, and formerly a resident of the Manilla community, died at 6:30 a.m. today in the Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis.
Services will be held at the Fraley Funeral Home on S. Morris St. in Indianapolis Monday morning. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Stanley Paul Dawson, 63, R.R. 5, Shelbyville, died at 12:50 p.m. Friday at Community Hospital, Indianapolis, He had been in failing health four years.
Mr. Dawson, a welcer, reitred four years ago from the Chrysler Corp, Indianapolis after 21 years of service. Before and after serving with the Army in World War II he was employed by the New York Central Railroad.
He was a lifelong resident of the Shelby County area.
Born April 14, 1917 in Waldron, he was a son of Charles C. and Minnie (Cartmel) Dawson. Surviving are three sons, Gary and John Dawson, both of Shelbyville, and Joseph Dawson, Indianapolis; two stepdaughters Mrs. James (Jeannie) Huber and Mrs. Ronald (Donna) Brown, both of Shelbyville; six brothers and sisters: Bernard J. Dawson, Shelbyville; Mrs. ? Lee, R.R. 5 Shelbyville; Gilbert and Floyd C. Dawson, both of Florida; Mrs. Gordon (Frances A.) Myers, R.R. 1, Shelbyville and Mrs. Calvin (Mildred) Richmond, Indianapolis; six grand children, and one great-grandchild. A brother and a sister preceded in death.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Ewing Mortuary with the Rev. Scott Wood officiating. Burial ill be in VanPelt Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
