DEATH  OF  MRS.  JACOB  H.  DEITZER
-------
(From Daily Democrat of Tuesday, August 11)
At a quarter past eleven o’clock this morning, after eight weeks of intense suffering, which was borne without a murmur, the spirit of  Ada Deitzer, wife of  Jacob H. Deitzer, was released by death from its frail earthly tenement, and passed through the gates into that city where pain and death can never come, to which glorious place her babe, born on Friday night, had preceded her, and at whose pearly portals she will await the coming of those who mourn her loss here.  Deceased was born in Louisville, Kentucky, October 1, 1856, and married to her surviving husband in this city, November 17th, 1874.  The funeral services will be held at the residence at three o’clock Thursday afternoon, Rev. T. L. Hughes officiating.  D. B. Wilson, funeral director.
In her death her husband suffers an irreparable loss, her mother a loving daughter, and her brothers and sisters an affectionate sister.  For a number of years her health has been extremely delicate, and for the past two months she has been confined to her bed almost all the time, suffering intensely, and though the constant presence of her devoted husband could not but have been greatly desired by her, she nobly refused to allow herself the gratification, and insisted on him attending to his duties, even up to this morning, when she smilingly bid him good bye, and told him not to worry about her, as she was getting along nicely, and would send for him instantly should she find herself getting worse.  Loath to leave her hesitated to go, but reassured by her as to her condition he departed to his business, only to be summoned a little later to her bedside, too late to find any recognition in those eyes where he had been enshrined so long, and powerless to turn aside the dart of the Great Destroyer, which robbed him of his dearest possession, and turned a happy home into a house of mourning.  May the Comforter of the sorrowing, bring to the bereaved husband and other surviving relatives, the balm that none but Him can give.
