Nola J. DeRolf, 74, formerly of Shelbyville, died Friday, April 5, 2002, at her home in Greenfield.
Born Jan. 23, 1928, she was the daughter of Edward and Isabel (Oltz) Hildebrand. She was married to Fred G. DeRolf, and he survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Philip G. Derolf of Ohio and Dennis G. DeRolf of Shelbyville; two daughters, Virginia DeRolf of Denver and Carol J. Huntley of Indianapolis; three sisters, Doris Maurer of Hammond, Carol Biesen of Highland and Myrna Dudley of Houston; and five grandchildren.
Mrs. DeRolf was a teacher and librarian for the Indianapolis school system for 12 years, retiring in 1977. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Evansville and her master’s degree from Ball State University.
She was a member of Ellenberger United Church of Christ and the church’s women’s guild.
Funeral services will take place at 12 p.m. on Monday at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. in Indianapolis.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army.
