Diefenderfer
The Shelbyville News Richard D. Diefenderfer, 38, of R. R. 1, Morristown, died suddenly this morning while on a camping trip to Van Bibber Lake near Greencastel. He had not been ill.

Mr. Deifenderfer was president of the Smoketeria Importing Co. of Indianapolis and was active in Cub Scouting in the Morristown area. He was a member of the Morristown Lodge No. 193, F. & A.M., the Shelbyville Chapter, Council and Commandery, the Scottish Rite and Shrine in Indianapolis and was a past master of Capital City Lodge No. 312, F. & A.M. of Indianapolis. Mr. Diefenderfer was a director of the Asbury Cemetery. He had been a resident of the Morristown are for the past eight years. Born in Wisconsin on July 25, 1927, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Diefenderfer.
Surviving with the parents of Indianapolis are the widow, Mrs. Joan Diefenderfer and three sons, Donovan, Richard and Douglas, all at home.
Services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Pasco Memorial Mortuary in Greenfield, with Rev. Robert Reeves of Highland, Ill., and Rev. Wayne Hensley of the Morristown Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after noon on Sunday.
