----------
A gentleman in this
city heard of the dangerous illness of little Frank Doolittle and the
destitution of the lad’s mother. Without saying anything about it he called at
the house, ordered the attendance of one of our best physicians, and otherwise
contributed to the comfort of the afflicted family. He will pay the boy’s
funeral expenses also. The man is a saloon keeper, but he carries a great heart
in his breast, and never allows an opportunity to alleviate distress and
suffering escape him unnoticed.
