Evelyn Lucille Fleener, 84, of St. Omer, died Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Waldron Health Care Home,
Waldron. Born Sept. 30, 1921, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Karen (Pope)
Hudson. She married Donald D. Fleener, Sr. on June 26, 1948, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 27,
2000.
Survivors include two sons, Frank (wife, Madaline) Listenberger of Shelbyville and Bob (wife, Nancy) Fleener
of St. Paul; two daughters-in-law, Annie Fleener of St. Paul and Judy Fleener of Shelbyville; 15 grandchildren; 45
great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Don
Fleener Jr. and Lester Fleener; two brothers, Everett Hudson and Howard Hudson; and one great-great-
granddaughter.
Mrs. Fleener had lived in St. Omer since 1964. She previously had lived in Shelby County. She had been a
seamstress for the former Garment Factory in Shelbyville for 10 years. Mrs. Fleener was a member of Westside
Wesleyan Church.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Glenn E. George Funeral Home, 106 E. Franklin St. in St. Paul.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. George Mitchell officiating. Burial
will be in Paul Hill Cemetery in St. Paul. Memorial contributions may be made to Waldron Health Care Home, in
care of Glenn E. George Funeral Home, 106 E. Franklin St., St. Paul, IN 47272.

Donald Dale Fleener, Jr., 54

Donald Dale Fleener, Jr., 54, St. Paul, died at 11:55 a.m. Tuesday, March 2 at his residence. Born May 12, 1949 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Donald Dale Fleener, Sr. and Evelyn Lucille (Hudson) Fleener. He married Annie Lee (Harris) on May 12, 1967 and she survives.
A maintenance worker for Anthes Universal in Shelbyville, he was a member of the Wesley Chapel Church in Greensburg and was a St. Paul fireman for ten years. He served as training officer and assistant chief for four years, won Fireman of the Year in 1991 and helped train Marietta, Waldron and St. Paul fireman [sic--firemen]. His final status was Fire Dept. Master Firefighter Instructor I and helped organized [sic--organize] the Fire School for the Shelbyville Vocational School.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Michael (Tina Lorette) Fleener of Waldron; two daughters, Teresa (Tex) Scudder of Clarksburg and Donna (Bill) Newbold of Waldron; two brothers, Bob (Nancy) Fleener of St. Paul, Frank (Madaline) Listenberger of Boggstown; a sister, Della Mae Stone of Rontoul [sic--Rantoul], Ill; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Fleener; a granddaughter, Jennifer Newbold-Elliott and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Newbold of Bowman.
Funeral service is at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Wesley Chapel Church in Greensburg with Rev. Paul Kirk officiating. Burial will follow in Paul Hill Cemetery in St. Paul. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Glenn E. George Funeral Home in St. Paul. Memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Chapel Church or Decatur County Hospice.

Lester L. Fleener, 52

Lester L. Fleener, 52, St. Paul, died at 1:10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove. Born July 6, 1950, he was the son of Donald D. and Evelyn (Hudson) Fleener. He married Judy Lynn Kuhn May 16, 1969, and she survives.
A service manager at Hall's Trucking of Greensburg for 23 years, he also had worked at Klosterman's of Morristown. He was a town marshal for 13 years and a deputy for two years, a member of the St. Paul Fire Department for 18 years and EMT for 18 years. He was a member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, the Fraternal Order of Police of Greensburg and the Indiana Volunteer Firemen's Association.
He was preceded in death by his father. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Bob Fleener of Shelbyville and Joe Fleener of St. Paul; four daughters, Sherry Sly of Waldron, Vicki Grider of Clayton, Susie Mays of Martinsville and Jenny Taylor of Bradenton, Fla.; three brothers, Donald Fleener Jr. and Robert Fleener, both of St. Paul, and Frank Lestonberger [sic--Listenberger] of Boggstown; and 20 grandchildren.
Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Glenn E. George Funeral Home, St. Paul with the Rev. George Mitchell officiating, assisted by the Indiana Volunteer Firemen's Association chaplain. Burial will be in Paul Hill Cemetery, St. Paul. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the St. Paul Volunteer Fire Department.

Donald D. Fleener Sr., 79

Donald D. Fleener, 79, St. Paul, died at 8:05 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 27,* 2000 at Heritage House Convalescent Center. Born Sept. 6, 1920 in Linton, he was the son of Lee E. and Lavada Crews Fleener. He married Evelyn Lucille Hudson June 26,** 1948, and she survives.
He was a mechanic for 20 years for D & S Sales and Service in Shelbyville, retiring in 1982. He was a member of West Side Wesleyan Church in Shelbyville. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors besides his wife include four sons, Lester, Robert and Donald Fleener Jr., all of St. Paul and Frank Listenberger of Shelbyville; one daughter, Della Mae Stone of Rantoul, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Glenn E. George Funeral Home in St. Paul., Dr. Michael Layne** officiating. Burial is at Paul Hill Cemetery in St. Paul, with military graveside service by the Shelbyville veterans organizations. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Shelby County, in care of the funeral home.

*This obituary says he died Sunday, which was August 27th. The Social Security Death Index also gives the 27th. However the tombstone pictured on findagrave.com shows August 28 as the death date.
