Shirley K. Fussner, 48, of Milroy, died at 8 a.m. Thursday in St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis. Shirley was born on Nov. 7, 1955, in Fayette County, daughter of the late Dennis C. and Hazel Lorine (Wilson) Hughes. She lived most of her life in Rushville. She worked at Trane Corp. for 14 years. She worked at Mr. Freshie Donut Shop and had worked at Harcourt Industries. She attended Milroy Christian Church.
On Sept. 3, 1982, she married Steven A. Fussner. He survives as does her mother, Hazel Workman; a daughter, Stephanie Fussner, at home; brothers Ronald Hughes of Rushville and Danny (Penny) Proffitt of Shelbyville and a sister, Denise Hughes.
Visitation is Sunday, 2-6 p.m. at Moster & Cox Mortuary, in Rushville. Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the mortuary, Rev. Ron Simbro officiating. Burial will be in Fisher Cemetery in Rush County. Memorials may be made to any charity.

Clifford L. Fussner, 76

Clifford L. Fussner, 76, Richland, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2001 at his residence. Born Dec. 21, 1924 in Fayette County, he was the son of Albert G. and Edna Mahle Fussner. He married Gladys Richey Jan. 5, 1949 in Milroy, and she survives. He was a farmer. He was a member of Milroy Christian Church.
Survivors besides his wife include one daughter, Teresa M. Watson of Greenfield; seven sons, Terry L., John D., James C. and Richard J. Fussner of Richland, Steve A. Fussner of Milroy, Michael A. Fussner of Rushville and Jack L. Fussner of Greenfield; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Francis Fussner of Richland and Russell Fussner of Greensburg; one sister, Betty G. Stephenson of Shelbyville. He was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Copple.
The funeral service is at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Milroy Christian Church, the Rev. Ron Simbro officiating. Burial is at Richland Fishers Cemetery in Richland. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Milroy Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana. Burns Funeral Home in Milroy is in charge of arrangements.
