Obituary of Noah L. Goddard

Noah L. Goddard, 74 years old, died at 6:15 pm, Sunday, in the Major Hospital, after an illness of two weeks. He had undergone an operation at the hospital
on Thursday.
Mr. Goddard, a retired farmer and a business man, was born in Walker Township, Rush County, October 31, 1864, a son of Jasper and Clarissa Powell Goddard. He had spent all his life in the Manilla community. He was married to Miss Ida Rawlings on September 22, 1899.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs Ida Goddard; one son Melvin Goddard, of Indianapolis; one sister, Mrs. William E. Gardner, of Battle Creek, Michigan, and four grandchildren.
The funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Tuesday, in the Manilla Methodist Church, and will be conducted by the Rev. E. E. Young, pastor of the church. Burial
will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, in charge of Ezra Carmony, funeral director.
