Russell A. Hamner Sr., 78, Flat Rock, died today, Johnson County Memorial Hospital,
Franklin.Wednesday February 22, 1978

Resident of Shelby county most of his life.
Retired baker, employed with the Blue Bird, Kroger and A & P Bakeries.
Member of Norristown Farmers Lodge No. 147.
Born in Johnson county on June 11, 1899, a son of John Thomas and Nancy E. (Booe) Hamner.
In 1924 he married Gladys Iona Reed, who survives.
Also surviving: two sons, Russell A. Hamner Jr., R.R.4, Shelbyville, and John W. Hamner, Flat Rock; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister and one brother, Mrs. Pauline Steinbrook and Louie D. Hamner Sr. both of Edinburg.
Eskew Funeral Home, Edinburg, Rev. David Carnine officiating.
Burial: Flat Rock Cemetery.
