William F. "Jack" Hitchcock, 80, Shelbyville, died Wednesday morning, Indianapolis.
Died on the day of his son's funeral [see William E. Hitchcock, below].
Shelbyville resident for 35 years.  Born in Indianapolis on June 4, 1913, to  William H.  and  Roseanna (Stafford) Hitchcock.
Married  Helen Boicean  Feb. 25, 1933; she died Oct. 10, 1989.
WWII Army veteran.  Floor manager, Haag Drug Co. for 35 years.  Worked for Peoples Drugs until 1981.
Member of the First Church of the Nazarene, the American Legion and the veterans of ForeignWars.
Survivors:  daughter, Mary Ann Braun, (husband Neal), Wichita Falls, Texas;  son, John Hitchcock, Flat Rock;  11 grandchildren;  13 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
Murphy Funeral Home, Shelbyville, Rev. Ricky D. Curry presiding.
Burial:  Forest Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville;  military rites.

William E. "Bill" Hitchcock, 58, New Haven, died Saturday, Fort Wayne.
Born July 8, 1935, Shelbyville, s/o  William F. "Jack"  and  Helen Biocean Hitchcock; father survives in Shelbyville.
Married:  Sarah Lee,  July 13, 1970;  she survives.
Also surviving:  sons  William J. "Billy" Hitchcock, New Haven,  Shaun  and  Erik Killen, Shelbvyille;  daughters  Briana McNeely, San Antonio, Texas, and  Brenda Bennett (husband Chris), Shelbyville; 32 foster children; 8 grandchildren; one sister  Mrs. Neal (Mary Ann) Braun, Wichita Falls, Texas; one brother, John Hitchcock, Flat Rock.
Employed for 27 years as an enameler at General Electric.  Served in the Navy for more than 10 years.  Member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Burial:  Forest Hill Cemetery.  Military rites.

Mrs. Ethel Hitchcock, 90, died Saturday, Johnson County.
Former Shelbyville resident, 1940-1990.
Born Dec. 26, 1892, Columbus, Ohio, d/o  Otto  and  Callie (Henry) Zipf.
Married  Roscoe S. Hitchcock, 1928, San Francisco;  he preceded her in death.
Member of the First United Methodist Church, Women's Society of Christian Service and the auxiliaries of the American Legion and Veterans of Work War I.
Member of the Business Women's Christian Association and the Domestic Science Club.
Survivors:  daughters,  Mrs. Paul (Joan) Inlow, Shelbyville,  and  Mrs. John Betty Bechert, Franklin'; 13 grandchildren;  six great-grandchildren.
One sister preceded her in death.
