          David Lee Hoff,  69, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was born July 23, 1946, in Shelbyville, the son of  Paul Gordon and  Francis Pauline (Nigh) Hoff.  He married  Charlene K. Smith  on October 30, 1965, and she survives.
          David is also survived by his sons,  David Hoff Jr.  and wife,  Stacy,  and  Bryan Hoff  and wife,  Starlene,  both of Shelbyville; brothers,  Harry Hoff  and wife,  Donna,  of Geneva and  Paul F. Hoff  of Shelbyville; sisters,  Paula Childers  and husband,  Ray,  of Indianapolis and  Suesanne Burris  and husband,  Dennis,  of Shelbyville; grandchildren,  Dylan Hoff,  Macaylee Hoff,  Kaiden Grissom,  Karsin Hoff  and  Karleigh Hoff;  and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter,  Sally Jo Hoff  (twin to Bryan); and sister,  India Lunsford.
          David attended West Street United Methodist Church.  He served in the Army National Guard from 1966 to 1972.  David worked at Ryobi from 1986 until retiring in 2009.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching NASCAR races.  His family was the most important thing to him.
          Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the funeral home, with Mike Smith officiating.  Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelby County Public Library, Genealogy Department, 57 W. Broadway St., Shelbyville, Indiana 46176.

Paul G. Hoff, age 74, died Friday at 9 p.m. at Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis. Born Shelby county July 28, 1918, son of  Frank & India (Barnes) Hoff.
Married May 3, 1941 Frances Pauline Nigh, who died May 6, 1979.
Survivors; sons, David L. Hoff, Harry G. Hoff and Paul F. Hoff, Shelbyville; daughters, India L. Halpin, Laurel; Paula K. Childers, Indianapolis and  Suesanne Burris, Shelbyville.  12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  One sister and one brother and two grandchildren preceded in death.
U.S. Army veteran of World War II; attended St. Paul Methodist Church.  Had been a maintenance man at Holiday Inn Airport, Indianapolis.
Funeral Tuesday at Carmony-Ewing Broadway Funeral Home.  Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Frances Pauline Hoff, 56, Indianapolis, former Shelbyville resident, died Sunday at Community Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born March 31, 1923 in Charlottesville, daughter of Paul and Clara (Moore) Nigh.  Married May 3, 1941 to Paul G. Hoff, who survives.
Other survivors are six children;  David L. Hoff,  Harry Gordon Hoff,  Paul Francis Hoff,  Mrs. Tom (India LaVaughn) Deaton, all of Shelbyville, and  Mrs. Ray (Paula K.) Childers,  and  Mrs. Ronnie (Susenne) Balser, both of Indianapolis.  Seven brothers and sisters,  Mrs. Robert (Mary) Myers,  Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy) Sexton,  and  Mrs. William (Phyllis) James,  all of Shelbyville;  Bradley Nigh,  RR Shelbyville,  Mrs. Earl (Donna) Smothers,  RR Shelbyville,  Mrs. Ernest (Joan) Murphy,  Columbus, and  Steve Nigh, serving in the U.S. Navy.  Two brothers,  Charles  and  Marvin preceded in death.

TALMA  HOFF
DIES  AT  79

                A well known area man and former Standard Oil Co. distributor,  Talma A. Hoff,  79, R.R. 1, Manilla, died at 7:30 a.m. today in Jackson Nursing Home, Rushville, where he had been a patient three weeks.  He had been in failing health several months.
          A farmer early in life, Mr. Hoff was Standard Oil distributor in Manilla and operated a service station there 35 years.  He sold the business and retired in 1959.  He was a 1915 graduate of Manilla High School and lived in Rays Crossing several years before moving to Manilla in 1919.
          Mr. Hoff was an Army veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion Post, Rushville, where he was recognized recently for 50 years' service.  He was a member of the American Saddle Club at Rushville, a charter member of the Manilla Lions Club and member of Phoenix Masonic Lodge F. and A.M., Rushville.  He was an active member of the Manilla United Methodist Church and had held several offices in the church.
          Born in Ripley County Dec. 18. 1894, the son of  John and Cora (Osting) Hoff,  he married  Faye Rash  on Sept. 19, 1919, and she died June 6, 1928.
          Only survivor is a niece,  Mrs. Paul (Anne Hoff) Hett,  Las Vegas, Nev.  A brother,  Earl,  died in 1970.
          Services will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Carmony Funeral Home here, with the Rev. W. B. Jenkins officiating assisted by the Rev. Garnold Dennis.  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. Sunday.

Bernard C. Hoff Sr., 68, Milford, died today at University Hospital Medical Center, Indianapolis.
Born Decatur County October 21, 1902, son of  Frank  and  India (Barnes) Hoff.  Married January 10, 1924  Florine Hungerford, who survives.  
Other survivors are three children, Mrs. Robert (Sara) Gephart, of London, Bernard Hoff Jr., Cheyenne, Wyoming and  Mrs. Robert (Betty Jo) Holmes, Connersville, a brother  Paul Hoff, Shelbyville and sister  Mrs. Harry (Freda) Hudson, St. Paul.
Former resident of St. Paul ad Rush County.  Owner and operator of a grocery store in Milford.  Member of Waldron Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Arlington Christian Church.

Former City Man, 80, Dies at Nursing Home

Frank Hoff, 80, whose home formerly was on McKinley Street, died Sunday at a Fountaintown Nursing home.
Born Decatur County November 28, 1878, son of  Jacob  and  Mary E. Hoff.  Married September 21, 1897  India Barnes, who died March 1944.
Surviving are three children, Paul Hoff, of this city, Bernard C. Hoff, Geneva and  Mrs. Harry (Freda) Hudson of Greensburg; two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Ranson, Midway City, California and  Mrs. Rose DeHoff of Indianapolis, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren.
Member St. Paul Christian Church.  Funeral, Carmony Funeral Home St. Paul, Rev. Boaz officiating.  Burial Milford Cemetery.

Attack Fatal To Waldron
Man, 70; Rites Thursday

          Last rites were arranged today for  Harvey Elmer Hoff,  70, retired Waldron meat market operator, who was found dead in bed at his home in Waldron by neighbors Tuesday about 10:30 a.m., after apparently being dead for a week.
          Dr. Roger B. Whitcomb, Shelby county coroner, said it is belived Mr. Hoff died about Dec. 24, 1951.  The coroner attributed death to a heart attack, although he said Mr. Hoff had been ill for some time with arthritis.
          BORN  IN  DEARBORN  county on Dec. 15, 1881, Mr. Hoff was the son of  John and  Susan (Huber) Hoff.  His wife preceded him in death 16 years ago.  Survivors include a sister,  Mrs. Florence Behymer  of Indianapolis and one niece.
          Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the New Point Christian Church and burial will be in Rossburg cemetery.  A prayer service will be held at the Oliger Funeral Home in Greensburg at 2:00 p.m. Thursday.  Friends may call at the funeral home.

MRS. INDIA  HOFF  DIES  IN  ST. PAUL

Funeral Services Will Be Held Monday
----------
            Mrs. India W. Hoff, age seventy, wife of  Frank Hoff, died at her home in St. Paul at 11:00 a.m. Friday after a four-year illness of paralysis. She had been in a serious condition for the past several weeks.
            Born on April 4, 1873 in Decatur county, the daughter of  James and  Mary Sumpter Barnes, she had spent her entire life in the St. Paul community.  She was married to Mr. Hoff on September 30, 1896.  Three children born to the union survive with the husband.  They are Paul Hoff and Mrs. Freda Hudson, of St. Paul, and  Bernard Hoff, of Rushville.  Also surviving are five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
             Mrs. Hoff was the last of a family of seven children.  She was a member of the St. Paul Christian church where funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Marvin Johnson officiating.  Burial will be made in the Milford cemetery in charge of D. E. Carmony, of St. Paul.
