Mrs. Jessup Dies At Home
Two-Month Illness Fatal To Resident of Morristown

Ill for the past
two months with a complication of diseases, Mrs.
Edith Jessup died at her home in
Morristown at 11:00 o'clock Friday night. She was 57 years of age.
Mrs. Jessup, who was a member of the Methodist Church
and of the Morristown chapter, Order of Eastern Star, was born in Freeport on September 12, 1891, the daughter
of Charles and Anna
(Hughes) Patten.
On October 27, 1915, she was married
to Nolan Jessup who preceded her in death January, 1941. She is survived by two sons Robert
and James Jessup of Waterloo, Iowa; one granddaughter and one niece
Mrs. Clara Daily of Evanston, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at the late home
Monday at 2:00 p.m. in charge of the E. L. Frazier funeral home. Burial will be made in Asbury cemetery. Friends
may call at the home after noon Sunday.

End Comes for Nolan Jessup
at Home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Announcement was made last night of the death of
Nolan W. Jessup, former Hancock county resident, at his home in Cedar
Rapids, Iowa. Death occurred at 9:30 Saturday evening and resulted from a cerebral hemorrhage(sic). The deceased
was fifty years of age.
He was married to Miss Edith Patton,
of Morristown, in 1916, and is survived by the widow and two sons,Robert and
James, both at home. There are also three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Turner, of Cicero, Ind.;
Mrs. Elnora Hill, of Carthage, and Mrs.
Cora Winslow, Texas, and three brothers,
Rolland, near Charlottesville; Otis, of California, and
Luther, whose
present residence is unknown. Mr. Jessup was a member of the Methodist church and the Masonic lodge.
The body will be brought to the home of the brother,
Rolland, near Charlottesville, Monday afternoon, and funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 in
charge of Rev. K. D. Vandeventer, of the Morristown Methodist church. Burial will take place in the Asbury cemetery,
Morristown, in charge of L. V. Hauk, funeral director.
