David R. Klare, 64, Fort Myers, Fla., former Shelbyville resident, died Sept. 15 in Florida.
Born Nov. 3, 1935, in Shelbyville, s/o Russell and Reba (Moore) Klare.
Married Tina J.
Scott, and she survives.
Graduated from Shelbyville High School.
Owned and operated Klare’s Carpet, Fort Myers Beach, Fla.
Member of the American Legion and Moose Lodge.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Don (S. Kim)
Waddell, Shelbyville; two sons,
Scott Klare
and
Todd Klare, both of Fort Myers; one stepson,
Rick
Holland, Fort Myers Beach; one stepdaughter,
Tracy
Holland, Greenfield; one foster daughter,
Debbie (Prather) Klare, Fort Myers; two brothers,
Bill Klare, Shelbyville, and
Rudy Klare, Columbus; five grandchildren; and three step grandchildren.
Memorial services Fort Myers.

Mrs. William Klare, Daughter Of Pioneer People,
Was Born In Log Cabin

FUNERAL TO BE WEDNESDAY

Mrs. Susan Klare, wife of William Klare, Sr., died this morning at 8:45 at her home, 301 East Washington street.
Her death was caused by a stroke of apoplexy, which occurred last Wednesday. Mrs. Klare was born in Shelby county 74 years
ago. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. William [Henry and
America Jones] Gatewood, who came to Shelby county in about the year 1822. She was born in a cabin east of the present county fair grounds. In every respect Mrs. Klare was a good woman possessed of many friends. She leaves besides her husband five children and two step-children, they being Frank S. Whitcomb,
Mrs. William Dunn, Mrs. Ralph Disser, of this city; Mrs. George Ainsley, of Indianapolis; William Klare, Jr., of this city, and Mrs. Atkinson, of Royal Oak, Michigan. There are 11 grand children and one great grand child.
