MAY KNEISLY DIES AT HOME

Local Woman, Ill Four Weeks, Passes Away; Funeral Tuesday

          Mrs. May Pearl Kneisly, 56, wife of  Samuel T. Kneisly, died at her home, 317 East Washington street at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday following an illness of four weeks.
          She was born in Mt. Auburn October 22, 1880 and was the daughter of Amos and Mariah Payne, having been a resident of this county all her life.  Her marriage to Mr. Kneisly, who survives, took place March 9, 1906. Mr. and Mrs. Kneisly formerly operated the American Hotel on East Washington Street.
          Survivors besides the husband are four sisters,  Mrs. Myrtle Ropp, of Shelby county,  Mrs. Ethel Eads of Moral township, Mrs. Lena Shimer of Indianapolis and Mrs. Maude O’Leary of Oakland, California; three brothers,  Hallard Payne  of this city,  Ird, of Marion county and  Ross  of Beech Grove; and several nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late  John Payne.
   
       Mrs. Kneisly was a member of the First M.E. church.  Funeral services will be held at the late home at 2 p.m. Thursday. Dr. J.W. McFall, pastor of the church will officiate and burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in charge of C.F. Fix & Son, funeral directors.  Friends may call at the late home at anytime.
