Mary Lou Ladson, 78, of Linton, passed away at 8:23 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 19, 2005 at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington. Born Sept. 20, 1927 in Evansville, she was the daughter of Dona (Gunn) Gutierriez. She was raised by her aunt and uncle Homer and Della Gunn. On Nov. 15, 1945, she married Robert D. Ladson, who passed away Feb. 13, 1990. She was a homemaker and attended the Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include: three daughters, Engenia [sic--Eugenia] A. (Jeanne) Wesner of Newberry; Dona Paulsen of Linton, and Toni MeJean of Pleasantville; a son Robert Michael Ladson of Cayuga; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a cousin Sharon Gunn Hudson of Pittsboro. She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband Robert.
Funeral service will be at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton at 10 a.m. on Thursday with the Rev. Michael Ladson and the Rev. Randy Raney officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

LINTON - Mary Lou Ladson, 78, of Linton, died Monday at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Robert Micheal [sic--Michael] Ladson of Cayuga; three daughters, Engenia A. "Jeanne" Wesner of Newberry, Dona Paulsen of Linton and Toni MeJean of Pleasantville.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services today at the funeral home.

LINTON -- Robert D. Ladson, 65, of R. 2., Linton, died Tuesday at Shakamak Good Samaritan Hospital in Jasonville. Born Dec. 2, 1924, in Shiloh, he was the son of Robert Eugene and Flora (Burch) Ladson. He was retired from Crane Naval Weapons Center where he was an explosives expert. He was also a locksmith, retiring in 1975. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of South Linton Church of God. He was a member Frank Courtney American Legion Post.
Survivors include his wife, Mary (Gunn) Ladson; three daughters, Jeanne Wesner of Newberry, Dona Paulsen of West Paulet, Vt., and Toni MeJean of Carlisle; one son, Michael M. Ladson of Newberry; two sisters, Vera Smith of Linton and Sherry Alig of Kenton, Ill.; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel with the Revs. Jack Gambill and Charles Riley officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion. Friends may call 3-9 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. until services Saturday at the funeral home.

LINTON -- Wendell Eugene Ladson, 40, of 369 4th St., NW, Linton, died Wednesday night at the Freeman-Greene County Hospital here. A native of Linton, he was born Feb. 25, 1930, the son of Eugene H. and Flora M. Ladson. He was a retired gunnery sergeant in the U.S. Marines and a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a member of the Frank Courtney American Legion Post 22 at Linton and the Worthington Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors are the wife, the former Violet Mason; two sons, Robert and Eugene, both of Jacksonville, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Rita and Teresa Mason, both a home; a brother, Robert, of Linton; two sisters, Mrs. Vera Yoder of Linton and Mrs. Sherry Alig of Canton, Ill.; the mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Hunter of Linton; a stepsister, Mrs. Kathern Rollison of Bloomfield.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, with the Rev. Dean Hartman officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.

Eugene Ladson, 58, Dies of Heart Attack

Eugene Ladson, 58, of Mt. Dora, Fla., and a native of Sullivan, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 2:45 p.m. Monday.* He formerly lived in Linton and had just returned home Saturday following a visit to this area. He was born April 26, 1905, in Sullivan, the son of the late Albert and Ruby Ladson.
Surviving are the widow, Flora; two daughters, Mrs. Vera Yoder of Linton and Mrs. Sherry Everidge of Cocoa, Fla.; two sons, Robert of Linton and Windell of Camp LeJune, N. C.; two brothers, M. A. (Bus) Ladson of Linton and Garland Ladson of Mt. Dora, Fla.; and two sisters, Mildred Sluder of Sullivan and Mrs. Clara Edwards of Kennee, Ill.
The body is being returned to the Anderson-Poindexter Funeral Home in Linton where funeral arrangements are pending.

Final rites for Eugene Ladson, 58, of Mt. Dora, Fla., and a native of Sullivan and former resident of Linton, will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton. Mr. Ladson died unexpectedly of a heart attack Monday at Mt. Dora after returning there last Saturday following a trip to this area. The Rev. William Carpenter will officiate and interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Linton.
