Local Woman's Son Dies of Heart Attack

Maurice W. Land, 45, died Thursday, Marion County.
Born August 26, 1914, s/o Homer Land and Mrs. Frank Ed. Mitchell.
Survivors: wife, Gladys Land; son, Kermit Land, near Wanamaker; three grandchildren; mother.
Employee of International Harvester Co.
Little and Sons Funeral Home, Beech Grove.
Burial: New Palestine Cemetery.

Former Shelby County Resident
Dies at Daughter's Home
------------
Joseph Henry Land, age 63, formerly of Shelby county, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jennie Vance at Acton, at four-thirty o'clock Friday evening. Death was due to a complication of diseases. Mr. Land was well known in this county and was a member of the Knights of Pythias and Red Men lodges of London.
Surviving Mr. Land are his wife, Mrs. Ida May Land, three daughters and two sons. Short funeral services will be held at the nine-forty-five o'clock Sunday morning at the home of Mrs. Vance in Acton. Services will be conducted at ten-thirty o'clock at the London M. E. church. Burial will be in the London cemetery.

FUNERAL THURSDAY MORNING.

Funeral services
for Mrs. Anna M. Land who was found dead in bed by her son
Tuesday morning will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 o'clock at the Pleasant
View church. Burial will be in the city cemetery at Shelbyville.

Fred Land, a young man well known in this city, was killed by the cars Friday evening at Hamilton, Ohio. Land lived here he being employed at the Conrey, Birely factory. He was a member of the local lodge Knights of Pythias. The funeral will be held Sunday at Harrison, Ohio. R. W. Harrison and Lester Clark will represent Chillon Lodge at the burial.
