"Shelbyville News""Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Sleeth funeral home for Mrs. Maude Lantz, age 83, former Shelbyville resident. Mrs. Lantz died at Oak Park, Ill., Saturday morning.

"Mrs. Lantz who was born in Castleton, Ind., Sept. 11, 1866, left Shelbyville 12 years ago to make her home with a daughter Mrs. Leland Churchill who survives with four grandchildren. She was first married to Claude Connor and later to T. Dudley Lantz who died February 16, 1934.
"Officiating at the services today was Rev. N. I. Schoolfield and burial was at Forest Hill cemetery."

"DEATH COMES TODUDLEY LANTZ, 69"Heart attack resulted in the sudden death of Dudley Lantz, 69, well known carpenter of this city, at his home, 117 West Taylor street, last night at 6:30 o'clock. Mr. Lantz had just returned to his home from downtown when he suffered the attack.

"The deceased was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Moses Lantz, and was born near Prescott, this county, on February 12, 1865. He was married to Miss Lora Smith, who passed away one year later, and on February 10, 1898, he was united in marriage with Mrs. Maude Conner, who survives.
"Besides the widow, he leaves three step-children, Herschel Conner, of Indianapolis; Mrs. Leiland Churchill, of Beloit, Wisconsin, and Murrell Conner, of Chicago, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Cregg, of Long Beach, Cal., and two brothers, J. W. Lantz and Everett Lantz, of this city.
"Mr. Lantz was a member of the Modern Woodmen lodge of this city.
"Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at three o'clock at the Morris Sleeth funeral home. The Rev. L.T. Freeland, pastor of the First Methodist church, will officiate and interment will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Please omit flowers."

"She was born in Shelby county March 7, 1882, the daughter of John and Matilda Bushfield, being at the time of death fifty-one years, ten months and eleven days old. On April 3, 1905, she was united in marriage to Mr. Lantz who survives.
"Besides the husband the deceased is survived by one sister, Mrs. John Anderson, of this city, and two brothers, Bert, also of this city, and Carl Bushfield, of Indianapolis.
"Mrs. Lantz was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9:00 o'clock, with the Rev. John Rager officiating. Burial will be made in Forest Hill cemetery in charge of Ralph J. Edwards, funeral director."

Lantz, nee Louden, one of the prominent and very well known women of Shelby county and Liberty township, and widow of Moses Lantz, passed away at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Richey, of Waldron, Saturday evening at 9:15 o'clock. Death was caused from heart trouble and hardening of the arteries. She was eighty-two years and nine months of age.

"Mrs. Susan M. Lantz Passes Away
After Eventful Life Spent Entirely In County

"The deceased was born in Shelby county in 1836 and spent her entire life here. She was a member of the Baptist church at Waldron and an earnest worker in the congregation. She numbered the entire citizenship of Waldron as her friends. The death of Mr. Lantz occurred about twenty-five years ago in this city, where he was living at the time. He was a retired farmer.
"Mrs. Lantz is survived by six children, who are, namely, Mrs. Richey, at whose home she died; Mrs. Joseph Hilt, of Indianapolis; Mrs. Louise Washburn, of this city; J. W. Lantz, who lives south of this city, and Everett and Dudley Lantz, of this city. There are also a number of distant relatives.
"Funeral services were held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Richey home, Rev. Fred Young, pastor of the Waldron Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was made in the Ogden cemetery, Stewart & Fix, undertakers in charge."
