Died.

          Ezra M. Lawton,  brother-in-law of  Enos Porter,  and well known to many of our Shelbyville residents, died at his home in Los Angeles, Calif., Saturday, after a brief illness.  Mr. Lawton had been in the counsular service of our country for more than twenty years, retiring last year.  He was sixty-seven years old at the time of death.
          Mr. and Mrs. Lawton spent last summer in Shelbyville, and they had visited the Porters here on many occasions.  His death will be regretted by many local friends.  He is survived by the widow,  Mary Porter Lawton  and three brothers.  Burial will be in Los Angeles.
