            Knightstown-Funeral sevices for  Dora R. "Dode" Leisure  69, retired laborer, were held at 2 p.m. today at the Butcher Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Derby officiating. Burial was in Glen Grove Cemetery.
            Mr. Leisure had died Saturday about 11 am from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He had been in failing health for some months.
            Born in Gwynneville, he had moved to Knightstown in 1930.  Mr. Leisure was a member of Christian Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Opal Vina Beck  of New Castle Route 2, and  Mrs. Margarent Ewing  and  Mrs. Hazel Wright  of New Castle;  five son:  Ross  and  Hal  of Knightstown,  Robert  of Lewisville,  Tyrus of Straughn and  Orie  of Beaumont TX;  a brother  Ed  of Indianapolis and eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
            Two sons, Max Fredrick  and  Mellis Grant, lost their lives in action in Germany during World War II two other sons,  Roland  and  Hugh  and his wife preceded him in death.

Mrs. Anna Leisure, Knightstown, mother of Seven Service Men Dies

             Henry County's outstanding war mother, Mrs. Anna W. Leisure, Knightstown, who had seven sons in the Armed forces, died Thursday afternoon at 4 oclock in Methodist hospital in Indianapolis, following an illness of two weeks.
            Mrs. Leisure, age 58, was the wife of  Dora R. Leisure  and the family home is on Madison Street Knightstown.  Mr. Leisure is employed in a war plant.
            The body was removed to the Wilson funeral home in Knightstown pending funeral arrangements which are in abeyance awaiting word from the seven sons in service.
            Surviving are the husband, her mother, Mrs. Samatha West  of near Gwynnville, and 12 children:  Sgt. Robert Leisure  in England,  S 2/C Hugh Leisure  also in England,  Cpl. Hal Leisure  in Italy,  Orie Leisure, in the Merchant marine, S 1/C Ross Leisure,  in Diego, Calif.,  Pfc Mellis Leisure, Camp Gorden, GA,  Pvt Max Leisure, Camp Gorden Johnston Fl.,  Rolland Leisure  Knightstown,  Tyrus Leisure, New Castle,  Mrs. Margaret Ewing  and  Mrs. Hazel Hileman  both of New Castle and  Opal Leisure  at home.  She is also survived by three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Lowe, Pine Bluff Ark and  Miss Vina West, Gwynnville and a brother, Scott West, also of Gwynnville.
