          Carlos Long,  50, a life-time resident of the Gwynneville community, died thismorning at 12:30 at the Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis where he had been admitted Tueday afternoon.  Mr. Long, a World War II veteran, had been in failing health since his discharge from the U.S. Army in 1945.
          He was born September 7, 1908, in Bwynneville, a son of  Vernal and  Hazel (Smith) Long.  A building contractor until 1952, he had been affiliated with the McBane Vault Co. in Morriwtown for the past six years.  He was a member of the E. U. B. Church at Gwynneville and the Willard E. Hensley American Legion Post at Morristown.
          Survivors include his mother, his wife, the former  Elizabeth Macy, two children,  Jan and  Judy,  both at home; a brother,  Harlan Long  of Gwynneville, and two nieces and two nephews.
          Funeral services to be held at the Gwynneville E. U. B. Church, in charge of the L. V. Hauk Funeral Home will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will be in Asbury cemetery.  Rev. Galloway will officiate.  Friends may call at the late home after 10:00 a.m. Saturday.

          Shelbyville--- Funeral services for  Harry Long,  55 years old, a farmer south of here, who died at an Indianapolis hospital, will be held at the late home.  He had been ill with an abdominal ailment for the past four years.  Surviving is the widow,  Mrs. Emaline Long.

          Dave Long  was found dead in his room early Wednesday morning, death resulting from heart failure.  His funeral was held at the house Friday conducted by Rev. Westhafer.  The schools were dismissed in order that the boys might attend the funeral, for no one in town had more friends among the boys or was better to them than Dave Long.
