Five Years; Rite Set

          John F. Mallory,  69, died at his home in Fairland Monday night at 8:30, following an illness of five years.  Born in Shelby township, June 29, 1871, the deceased was a son of  George and  Mary Ellen Mallory,  early residents of Shelby county.
          Mr. Mallory was married to  Mary O. Steward.  He had been in the decorating business for the past thirty-five years.  Surviving him are the widow,  Mrs. Mary O. Mallory,  three sons,  William Floyd,  Frederick and  John, Jr.,  and two daughters,  Mrs. Lydia Larah  and  Mrs. Margaret Kaufman,  all of Fairland.  In addition, there are three brothers,  Ora,  of Jennings county;  Merle,  of Shelbyville, and  Roy,  of New Castle, and two sisters,  Mrs. Martha Warble,  Shelbyville, and  Mrs.  [the copy ends here].
