AT DAUGHTER'S HOME

Resident Of Tipton, Ind., Died
Thursday Afternoon
At Flatrock.

Thomas B. Mavity, 85 years old, a resident of Tipton, Ind., died
Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Walter Nading, of Flatrock, where he had been
visiting for several weeks. His death was caused from a complication of diseases and ailments that resulted
from his advanced years.
Altho he had been a visitor in Flatrock only at intervals, Mr. Mavity had become very well
known among the residents there and his death is mourned by every person who knew him and profited by his gentle manner and
many kindnesses. He was a veteran of the Civil war, having served for more than three years during the conflict, with Co. K,
of the 83rd regiment. He is survived by two daughter, Mrs. Nading and a daughter residing in Tipton, Ind.; two sisters,
both residing in Indianapolis.
The body has been taken to Tipton, Ind., where the funeral and burial will be held
Saturday from the home of his daughter.
